Introduction

This refreshing beverage is made from Costco Kirkland ingredients as I shop there often and make a large batch of this for the holidays

Ingredients

  • 1.75 Liter bottle of American Vodka
  • 1.75 Liters water
  • 5 pound bag of Sunkist Lemons (about 14 per bag)
  • 650 grams Maple Syrup (2 cups)
  • (2) Gallon Ziplock bags

Introduction

This refreshing beverage is made from Costco Kirkland ingredients as I shop there often and make a large batch of this for the holidays

Directions

  1. Scrub lemons in hot water.
  2. Peel the lemons into strips while avoiding any of the bitter white pith.
  3. Into each ziplock bag place half of the lemon peel (zest) along with half a bottle of the vodka and half of the maple syrup.
  4. After 2 hours in the water, strain the contents into a large pitcher using a fine mesh strainer. Add the water to this mixture.
  5. You are now ready to put the lemoncello into containers of your choice. The Vodka bottle will hold about half of the total amount. Chill before serving.
